Who creates the guides
Travel, culture and planning articles are produced by the Discover Nepal Editorial desk; source-led history features are produced by the History Desk. Every article links to its responsible desk, Standards Desk reviewer and Source Review fact-checker profile.
How subjects are researched
Writers begin with the reader's practical or historical question, then compare government, heritage, conservation, academic and institutional sources. Local terminology, community differences and uncertainty are retained rather than flattened into one generic account.
How automation is used
Automation assists with sitemap generation, responsive media, article packaging, broken-link checks and review reminders. It does not make an unsupported claim reliable. Material facts still require attributable evidence and editorial review before publication.
Photography and attribution
Published photographs must match the subject and carry a traceable creator, source and reuse licence. Priority images are self-hosted as responsive AVIF and WebP files with a machine-readable attribution record. Images are withheld when identity or rights cannot be verified.
Updates and volatile information
Publication and modification dates are recorded separately. Travel advice and seasonal transport are reviewed every fourteen days; trekking permits and protected-area fees every thirty days. Production builds fail when a scheduled verification becomes overdue.
Corrections and accountability
Readers can report factual, cultural, accessibility or image-rights problems through the contact page. A material correction updates the modification record and should describe what changed. Disputed evidence is labelled; it is not resolved by repetition or popularity.
